DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: AORN Works is seeking a full time permanent Administrative Director, Perioperative Services for a large not for profit facility in Southeast Washington.
Facility has over 180 patient beds, 10 OR Suites.
Responsible for the management of the OR, outpatient services and PACU.
Responsible for 100 FTE's, 2 managers and 3 supervisors.
Types of cases include open heart, neuro, general, GYN, ENT; just over 6,000/year in 2009.
Position reports directly to the Vice President of Nursing/CNO.
Excellent location for outdoor activities, semi-desert area has low humidity and mild seasonal weather.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have strong leadership abilities, strong understanding of hospital operations, revenue cycle and the ability to successfully facilitate collaboration among multiple hospital departments with the outcome of providing quality patient care.
BSN Required, Master's preferred or actively enrolled in qualifying Master Degree program.
Washington State RN license.
Minimum 5 years of recent progressive perioperative and endoscopy services.
5+ years in a leadership/director role.

Seeking an experienced RN leader to provide direction and accountability in the daily operations of the Surgical Services Department.
Responsible for developing and maintaining physician relations.
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the provision of services in the department.
Participates in and/or supervises the delivery of patient care as necessary and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service.
Responsible for approximately 18 FTE's, reporting directly to the CNO. 25 patient beds, 2 OR Suites, Level III Trauma designation.

Ortho/neuro/plastics or GEN/Urology/GYN.
Large level 1 trauma center, 18 OR suites, approximately 13,000 procedures annually. Main OR has approximately 120 FTEs.
Manager positions report directly to the OR Director.
Responsibilities include - personal and professional growth, clinical knowledge, collaborative practice, strong communication skills, ability to handle human resource issues, fiscal management, strategic planning, continuous quality improvement and research.

50 bed facility, 3 OR suites and 1 Endo, 200 cases/month. Responsible for 35 FTEs.
Works as a direct support to the CNO and CEO to extend executive oversight and responsibility.
Provides strategic and operational leadership of the Perioperative Services Department encompassing inpatient and outpatient operating rooms, PACU, Pre-surgery Clinic, Ambulatory Care Unit, Central Processing, and Endoscopy Services.
Provides strategic business and operational planning, business/ programmatic development, financial management including profitability analysis, administrative oversight of human resources, facilities and support services, physician relationships and Joint Venture relationship related to the Perioperative Services area.
SUPERVISES: Perioperative Services personnel, including Registered Nurses, Surgical Technicians, CNAs, Operating Room Assistants, Endoscopy Technicians, Central Processing Technicians, and Information Services Co
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a strong OR background, excellent leadership skills, ability to implement AORN standards with staff.
3-5 years of management experience.
BSN Required, Oregon RN license, CNOR preferred.
