Welcome to the AORN Works Placement Network

AORN Works helps perioperative leaders advance their careers. Whether you're looking for the flexibility of interim work or the challenge of providing leadership on a permanent basis, AORN Works is a national resource that can help to connect you with desirable positions.

Interim vs. Permanent

As a perioperative executive, there are several options for your next career move. Find a full-time position. Fill in during a leadership transition, or help a perioperative department solve a specific problem. Your AORN Works recruiter will take the time to get to know you and determine which types of positions are the best fit for your goals and life situation.

Contractor or Employee?

Interim assignments often involve a choice. During the project, you can become a temporary employee of AORN Works or work as an independent contractor through AORN Works. Each option has tax implications.

Generally, when you become an employee, the employer deducts taxes from a regular paycheck. On the other hand, a contractor will send invoices and pay their own taxes. Please confer with your tax advisor to decide the right option for you.
